COPY EDITOR

The Copy Editor Internship Program at the International Journal of Human Rights and Law (IJHRL) offers students a unique opportunity to hone their editorial skills while working on cutting-edge legal research. As a copy editor, your primary responsibility will be to ensure that the text is well-written, logically structured, and free from grammatical or spelling errors. You will verify that all submissions align with the journal’s house style, maintaining consistency and professionalism. Additionally, you will identify any potential legal issues in the research articles, bringing them to the attention of the editors for further discussion. A key part of your role will also involve reviewing illustrations and captions for accuracy and ensuring the proper indexing of papers. This comprehensive internship will enhance your attention to detail and give you valuable experience in legal editing and publication processes.

ELIGIBILITY
  • The candidate must be a student from any recognized university in India.
  • The candidate must have a sound knowledge of law.
  • The candidate must be familiar with citation styles such as APA, OSCOLA, Bluebook, and ILI.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Ensure the text is well-written and logically structured.
  • Correct grammar and spelling in the text.
  • Verify that the text aligns with the Indian Journal of Law, Polity, and Administration's house style.
  • Identify potential legal issues in the research articles and discuss them with the editors.
  • Review illustrations and captions to ensure accuracy.
  • Check the indexing of the papers.
